The Challenge

The project involved creating a shared kitchen in a historic building in a location with limited gas and electric capacity, everything about the project was a challenge. Carnegie Equipment helped the design team navigate each of these challenges and also assisted through the duration of construction and install of equipment.

Our Solutions

Carnegie Equipment joined the project early in the design phase, collaborating closely with the architects and developers to assess utility constraints and reimagine what was possible within the space. We developed tailored kitchen layout designs that optimized efficiency while remaining within the building’s limited power and gas capacities. Our team also handled expert equipment sourcing, selecting energy-efficient, space-saving appliances that aligned with both the project’s operational goals and infrastructure limitations. Throughout the construction process, we provided continuous support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Results

Our client stated they felt “great” after working with us. It was a tough project for them and this was their first experience constructing a commercial kitchen. They were also just the building owner and not the end user of the kitchen equipment, adding to the importance of knowledge we could provide. Mike at Carnegie demonstrated a thorough understanding of the equipment and was able to use his strong relationships with various manufacturer representatives to troubleshoot issues during construction of the commercial kitchen.
